Job Description

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to manage Drive's infrastructure across multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP, focusing on Operational Excellence, Security, and Reliability. This hands-on role requires expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Serverless Framework.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Building infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform and Serverless Framework.
  2. Owning and delivering non-functional requirements like Observability, Availability, Scalability, and Security.
  3. Providing architecture guidance to ensure high availability.
  4. Monitoring infrastructure costs and providing updates to stakeholders.
  5. Conducting periodic reviews based on AWS's Well-Architected framework.
  6. Creating dashboards and observability systems for infrastructure visibility.
  7. Participating in governance forums with Nine and AWS.
  8. Documenting and managing infrastructure risks and communicating them effectively.
  9. Applying security best practices from frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27000.
  10. Proactively reviewing CVEs and running security scans.
  11. Maintaining Page, Cache, and Firewall rules across AWS, Cloudflare, and GCP.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computing or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' experience with virtualized environments like AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Minimum of 3 years' system, network, and application server experience supporting Linux/Unix infrastructure.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Serverless Framework.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with distributed, containerized infrastructure using SQS, ECS Fargate, and RDS Serverless.
  • Experience with AWS and GCP cost management and reservations.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and security frameworks like NIST.
  • Experience managing cache and firewall rules in AWS and Cloudflare.
