Are you looking for a leadership role in a dynamic, professional environment?

Due to impending retirement we are looking to employ a Chief Operating Officer to lead the practice and play a pivotal role in its development.

The Chief Operating officer is an integral part of the firm's management team and vital to the successful running of the practice. We are keen to recruit someone with the skills necessary to take the practice forward and to manage the internal running of the practice and the changing needs of the partners.

The role will require the candidate to implement best practice and identify areas of improvements to ensure the efficient smooth running and continued growth of the firm.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Technology Management
  • Client service
  • Staff management
  • Process improvement
  • Strategic implementation
  • Risk management
  • Compliance
  • Financial oversight

Specific duties:

  • Control workflow to maintain balanced workloads to meet deadlines etc.
  • Standardise office procedures, recommend systems improvements
  • Responsible for all HR activities
  • Control all internal accounting functions including preparation of monthly accounts and statutory financial statements
  • Provide budget information
  • Monitor cashflow and oversee collection of debts and payments of suppliers
  • Supervise all outsourced IT support
  • Oversee all regulatory reporting and ensuring compliance and controls in place as required by our regulators

Key requirements include;

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in senior/financial role
  • Strong organisational, communication & IT skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of core business functions, including operations, finance and HR
