Our client, one of Australia's largest wholesalers of Engineered Wood Products located in Townsville, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Pick Packer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Counterbalance Forklift Operations: Safely load, unload deliveries, move, stack, and wrap products in the warehouse. Experience with Combi-Lift is a bonus (Training provided)
  • Pick & Pack: Ensure correct timber lengths are cut using dropsaws, and quantities are accurately picked, packed, and wrapped for customers.
  • Stay Organised: Keep your workspace tidy and adhere to safety standards.
  • Digital Warehouse System: Willing to learn the in-house system on their tablet for dispatch of orders, online customer portals, and basic face-to-face customer service. (Training provided)

Requirements :

  • Forklift Licence: Valid and ready to use. Experience with long timber loads is desired but not essential.
  • Physical Strength: Able to handle manual tasks and stay active throughout the day.
  • Attention to Detail: Be precise and careful with your work.
  • Communication Skills: Work well with others and communicate clearly.
  • Tool / Saw Experience: Experience with circular or drop saws to prepare accurate lengths of timber is a major bonus
