About The Role

Our goal to build 'healthier rural people and thriving communities' is a shared responsibility. The Hospital Assistant is an integral part of our team, supporting nursing staff with non-medical duties such as housekeeping, portering patients, and general assistance.

Ideal candidates will be reliable, punctual, energetic, physically fit, and possess a caring attitude. Good communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, remain calm in emergencies, and handle equipment like wheelchairs and beds are essential.

This position offers career growth opportunities within the Western NSW Local Health District, serving approximately 276,000 people with over 7,500 staff. The role is managed by Downer and based at Bathurst Health Service.
