The role provides an opportunity to practice women centred care within the scope of practice for a Registered Midwife.

Armadale Health Service offers a community focussed model of maternity care that provides collaborative and integrative services to address the needs of the women and their families. Our Clinical Midwives work across a range of both ambulatory and non-ambulatory services, providing advanced knowledge, clinical support, leadership and supervision across our Midwifery Antenatal Clinics, Antenatal Assessment Unit (AAU), Birthing Suite and the Postnatal ward. Armadale Health Service can also offer Clinical Midwives to work in the Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal service (MAPS) and Midwifery Group Practice including the award winning Boodjari Yorgas service supporting Aboriginal maternal health and wellbeing.

We are looking for Clinical Midwives who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of the people in our community. This recruitment pool will be open for 12 months, and the following should be noted:

• The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications throughout this timeframe and will assess on a regular basis.
• Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool and appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within any EMHS facility.
• Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/08/2026.

Eligibility and Equality

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract. Employer Sponsored Visa nomination and relocation maybe considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must hold Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife (or be eligible to apply). Please refer to AHPRA website for registration information.
