The Opportunity

Extend, part of The Extend Group, is looking for an OSHC Service Assistant at Mount Waverley Heights Primary School in Mount Waverley to play, teach, and take care of children in a safe learning environment in Outside School Hours Care.

The Role

  • After School Care 3:15 PM to 6:15 PM
  • Mandatory availability Monday to Thursday
  • Holiday care up to 6 hours per day (only if vacation is offered at school)
  • Assist in delivering daily quality activities for children that are safe, fun, stimulating, and educational
  • Supervise and support children
  • Prepare and serve healthy food options
  • Create an engaging and happy environment for children
  • Build meaningful relationships with colleagues, children, families, school leaders, and the community

About You

  • Engaging and warm personality
  • Strong focus on child safety and mandatory reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hold Certificate III or higher in Children's Services, Early Childhood, School Aged Care (or studying towards) or equivalent
  • Willing to obtain Working with Children Check
  • Willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training
  • Child Protection Training Certificate
  • Available to work Monday to Thursday
