Leading construction company with over 150 years history are seeking an experienced Flat Roof Technician to join the Technical Department in their Ipswich office.

The ideal candidate will be technically minded and originate from a Construction Industry/Architectural background, with a flat roof waterproofing system bias.

It is essential to have working knowledge of CAD, with strong computer literacy and the ability to understand architectural drawings.

Duties

Review, process, and verify incoming technical specification requests, detailed drawing requests, technical documentation, and calculations.

Assess the suitability and compatibility of all incoming waterproofing system specifications.

Examine roof survey reports for accuracy and compliance.

Provide technical advice to clients and collaborate with Area Technical Sales Managers.

Offer in-depth knowledge of flat roof waterproofing system construction.

Stay up-to-date with Industry Codes of Practice and Building Regulations.

Demonstrate an understanding of Part L and perform thermal calculations.

Work closely with a professional, dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Review and interpret specification construction documents, survey reports, and architectural drawings.

Attend off-site meetings and provide on-site support as needed.

Skills

• Practical knowledge of roof waterproofing systems and construction (desirable).
• Strong proficiency in spelling, grammar, and written communication.
  
  

Technically inclined with a focus on precision, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Familiarity with building fabric, industry standards, and codes of practice.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and clients.

CAD experience.

Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software applications.

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 basic salary + bonusOTE - £30,800 - £38,500Seniority level
