Due to our continued growth and expanding project pipeline, there is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Urban Planner to join our APAC Planning team in Townsville. Our team is made up of a group of highly skilled and motivated Planners with an enthusiastic approach to life and work. We currently service a pipeline of energy transition, renewable energy, industrial, commercial and health projects. In our Townsville team you will work closely with a highly experienced Principal Planner, as well as the wider national Planning team in Brisbane, Newcastle, and Melbourne.

Our Townsville team are a tight-knit group of multidisciplinary experts in their field, who also happen to be down to earth, supportive and fun to be around. We work in a flexible office environment and pride ourselves on our relaxed and positive culture, regular social events and positive client feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning analysis and research and confident in delivering exceptional results
  • Managing projects without direct supervision (or working towards)
  • Compiling large project packages for statutory approvals and permits
  • Preparing feasibility reports and due diligence advice
  • Briefing and managing specialist subcontractors
  • Business development and high-level client relationship management

Skills and experience

  • A degree in town planning (Bachelors minimum, Masters advantageous)
  • 2-8 years working experience, preferably within a consulting business, with direct experience in town planning, property and development.
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work across multiple sectors, predominantly Infrastructure, Renewables & Energy Transition
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively within a high performing team
