St Francis Catholic College is a co-educational, multi-campus secondary school, governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of staff at St Francis Catholic College.
The College, known for its learning and wellbeing programs, opened a new campus in Cobblebank in 2023, which currently has an intake of 140 Year 7 students and aims to accommodate 1500 Year 7-12 students by 2028. Our Melton West campus features exceptional facilities and pathways, serving as a model for the new campus.
We are seeking a Humanities / English Teacher for 2026, this is a full-time ongoing position.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relating to staff, students, parents, guardians, support groups, and community members.
- Highly developed communication, planning, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise and experience in Teaching & Learning.
- Experience in leading best practices in managing people and resources.
- Ability to build capacity in others.
Skills/Experience required:
- Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Commitment to Catholic education.
- Ability to develop professional, caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment catering to all students.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and utilize modern technology to support learning.
Special Requirements:
- Understanding and commitment to providing a safe environment for children, aligning with our Child Safe policy.
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required.
- Preferred: Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children. The successful candidate must hold or obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
Candidates must have valid visa or Australian Working Rights and provide proof of this.
