Overview

We collaborate with charities, private organisations, and government to benefit local communities. We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Fitter to join our site in the MRF plant facility with a diverse and inclusive team.

Responsibilities
  • Preventative maintenance of plant machinery
  • Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of plant equipment
  • Diagnostics and fault finding
  • Adhere to OHS guidelines at all times
  • Identify potential problems or efficiency improvements to a process
  • Communicate and report to internal management
What You Bring / Requirements
  • Experience in maintenance fitting in waste management, recycling, or MRF operations is preferred but not mandatory
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade is desirable but not mandatory
  • Safety‑first mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Good understanding of MRF equipment and ability to troubleshoot
  • Commitment to safe and quality work practices
Experience
  • Manufacturing or Waste industry: 2 years (Required)
  • Mechanical Fitter: 3 years (Required)
Licence / Certification
  • Fitter & Turner trade certificate (Required)
Skill & Knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Reliable, motivated and punctual
  • Team player with the ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and sequence work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
