Overview

Have you always wanted to work overseas? Are you looking to expand your career with world-class training? An exciting opportunity awaits at ASC, a leading defense contractor involved in building Australia's Collins Class submarines and now extending its expertise to nuclear-powered submarines in Australia.

We are seeking experienced Production Planners to live, work, and learn about submarine construction in Barrow, United Kingdom. The placements are available for August / September 2025 and will last 18-24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and document detailed production sequences for complex scopes.
  • Generate production work orders aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with processes, routines, and workflows.
  • Review engineering specifications, documentation, and work instructions thoroughly.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or relevant trade qualifications.
  • 1-5 years of experience (desirable).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 defense clearance.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering specifications and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Additional Information

Once deployed, you will be immersed in processes for constructing the SSN-AUKUS submarines in Australia. You will receive tailored development plans, exposure to submarine programs, and rotations to enhance your skills in submarine design and construction. Repatriation to South Australia is mandatory after deployment.

This is a civilian role with processes differing from active service defense recruitment. Benefits include overseas work, training on nuclear submarines, relocation support, and future employment opportunities with ASC.
