Personal Banker

Join Westpac in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia as a Personal Banker. This full-time, branch-based role involves proactively engaging with customers in-person and over the phone to uncover their financial needs, utilising your product knowledge to assist them in achieving their financial goals. You will refer customers to our specialist banking teams such as Home Loans and Business Banking, as well as coach customers on our digital banking offerings. This role blends sales and customer service and holds accountability for sales and referral targets – all with an uncompromising commitment to empowering our customers to make the most of their money

This is a full-time, branch-based role with hours across Monday to Friday.

• Proactively engage with customers in person and by phone to uncover their financial needs and offer appropriate solutions.
• Refer customers to specialist banking teams (e.g., Home Loans and Business Banking).
• Coach customers on Westpac's digital banking offerings.
• Balance sales targets with exceptional customer service and accountability for referrals.
• Meet performance KPIs and contribute to overall business success.
• Maintain a flexible approach as no two days or customers are the same.

• Banking experience is ideal, but not essential – your high-performer energy and ability to gauge and nurture strong customer relationships will be key to driving your success
• Strong experience in a customer-facing / phone-based sales role
• Resilience, tenacity, and an ability to flex – no two days and no two customers are ever the same
• Proven experience of achieving performance KPIs with an uncompromising commitment to delivering an exceptional customer service
• Comfortable when working with numbers and adept at navigating multiple systems
