As an Assistant Site Manager, you will report to the Site Manager and work alongside a team of permanent Grain Handlers to deliver a safe and effective service in the reception, storage, and outload of grain via road and rail.

In this role you will :

  • Coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the team and support the attraction, selection, training, and development of permanent and casual team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist the Site Manager in implementing and reviewing site budgets, participate in site financial planning, and achieve site targets (e.g., $/tonne targets, road haulage rates, receival/outload KPIs)
  • Support resource planning for grain receival/outload activities during peak and off-peak periods
  • Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety, and quality activities, along with related reporting
  • Supervise a large seasonal workforce during busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites
