This is a full-time, permanent position with overtime. Attractive hourly rate and possible relocation support.

• Located in Dubbo, a growing regional city 4.5 hours from Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.

Your Tasks Will Include

• Assess and interpret blueprints and plans to determine dimensions, stone selection, and installation.
• Order materials and supplies such as stone, glue, sealants, tools, etc.
• Plan and prepare for installation, such as clearing the area and erecting movable platforms to assist with installation.
• Lay stone, Dekton, marble, porcelain, etc. in specific arrangements (e.g., rows, horizontal or vertical), ensuring alignment. Apply sealants or mortars between and remove excess.
• Seal the stones with products to increase their durability.
• Cut, install, construct and polish (where applicable) stone, Dekton, marble, porcelain, ceramic, etc. to the required spaces (wall or floor) in accordance with customer specifications using manual and industrial tools and machines (e.g., Waterjet, Bridge Saw and CNC – training provided if necessary).
• Repair and restore stone slabs, Dekton, marble, porcelain, ceramic, etc. where needed.
• Finish stone surfaces for products such as kitchen benchtops and bathroom vanities using cutting, grinding, polishing and laminating techniques.
• Liaise with internal project managers to ensure project timelines are met.
• Adhere to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice requirements.

To Be Successful In This Position You Will Have

• Experience with all aspects of processing and installing engineered and natural stone benchtops.
• Formal qualification in Stonemasonry (Certificate III) preferred but not essential if you have at least 2 years of experience in Stonemasonry.
• A driver's license and a Construction White Card.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment with a positive work attitude.
• Natural problem-solving skills.
