As an ASX 20 global energy company, we're committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, "How can we?" (Even when others say, "We can't.")

We're proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we've got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn't just thinking big – it's delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you'll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It's no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What You'll Do

This role will oversee Development Execution's (DevEx) contractor-led Brownfield and Greenfield facilities construction and commissioning activities across Eastern Queensland, the Cooper Basin, Northern Territory, and Narrabri.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Lead site safety, environmental, cultural heritage, and land access for DevEx contractors.
  • Engage with stakeholders on HSE, heritage, and land access issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Santos Management System and safe work procedures.
  • Promote safe driving practices; adhere to IVMS performance standards.
  • Report/escalate incidents and issues per DevEx procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Support and encourage a healthy, collaborative team culture.
  • Challenge designs and methods to reduce costs and inefficiencies.
  • Submit timesheets correctly and on time.
  • Minimise risk of construction or schedule delays.
  • Ensure quality through inspections and punch list walkdowns.
  • Challenge and continuously improve standard practices and work methods.
  • Coordination of on-site kick-off / ice-breaker meetings.
  • Driving closure of both Santos and contractor punch list item close-out.
  • Review/approve contractor completion certificates (e.g. MCC or CCC) and upload into the Commissioning SharePoint for RFSU.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional from the oil & gas or mining industry with a strong background in Brownfield and Greenfield facilities construction and/or commissioning. Your Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (trade) is required and a Certificate III in Process Operations is highly desirable.

Experience in construction supervision is highly regarded, along with familiarity in rotating machinery, motors, and flange or pipe alignment.

What You'll Get

Here, you'll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don't shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we're committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you'll play a role in this too.

Each of our sites offer access to specific amenities that aim to create the best possible benefits to your health, wellbeing and performance.

What You're Part Of

Everywhere you turn you will be a part of a team who are coming together to contribute to our single uniting purpose - to provide reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone

And because it's not only what you do, but how you do it, you will also contribute to improving the living standards of the communities where we operate, building enduring and respectful relationships that serve a generation. It's about each of us, and all of us – together.

How To Apply

Applications must be submitted via the online recruitment system before COB 1st September 2025.
