Join Our Team as an Environmental Services Worker

What You'll Do

As an Environmental Services Worker, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and hygienic environment for residents within our Golden Age Aged Care facility. Your work will help ensure that our residents feel comfortable, cared for, and at home. This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

You'll handle:

  • Cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Laundry tasks, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and labeling resident clothing and linens.
  • Distribution of linen and resident clothing; maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry and equipment.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in cleaning or laundry services, preferably in aged care.
  • A genuine passion for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established cleaning protocols.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.

Requirements

  • Previous relevant work experience, preferably within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • A qualification relevant to the field.
  • Experience working in an Aged Care Faclity
  • Possess a current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire one.
