About your opportunity :
In this position you will;
- Provide accurate and proficient assistance and adaptation to any operator to provide four-handed dentistry, retraction and evacuation techniques, and application of rubber dam. Monitor and assist the operator in managing patient well-being and anxiety levels, with awareness of medical conditions.
- Ensure equipment, instruments, materials, and surgery meet infection control standards by utilizing standard/universal precautions, decontamination procedures, and barrier draping. Follow protocols for managing blood and body substance spills. Use infection control protocols and relevant standards for cleaning, sterilizing reusable items, and disposing of surgical waste.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, and trends related to dental assisting, including medico-legal responsibilities, ethical practices, codes of practice, and relevant standards.
- Assist with patient appointments, record keeping, reception duties, data collection, and computer data entry as required.
