About The Role
We're seeking an IT Events Administrator to serve as the technical foundation behind Australia's most spectacular live events. This hybrid role combines office-based system administration with field deployments across NSW venues, stadiums and event spaces. The successful candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in L1/L2 support environments, ideally with field service or multi-site support experience. You'll thrive in fast-paced event environments where technical excellence and professional client interaction are equally important. You'll work with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless IT operations for thousands of fans at live events. You'll master Windows servers, access control technologies and data services, supported by training and Client Services partnerships.

What does a day in the life look like?

  • Technical Operations:
  • Scoping and creating bespoke IT solutions for events across Australia
  • Deliver on-site IT support across Ticketek's event portfolio
  • Work with Windows versions (Windows 10/11, Windows IoT, Windows Server 2019/2022/2025)
  • Install points of sale (PCs, BOCA printers, EFTPOS) at venues and temporary events
  • Administer and maintain ticketing IT infrastructure and access control at client venues
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and respond to urgent technical needs
  • Use JIRA to track and report technical issues
  • Install, support and maintain IT collateral (servers, switches, WAPs)
  • Configure VPNs and network services for temporary deployments
    • Client & Venue Management:
    • Collaborate professionally with clients
    • Provide technical guidance during high-pressure event situations
    • Maintain configuration documentation and system records
    • Respond promptly to service desk requests with fault resolution tracking

About you
Essential Experience: At least one year in IT support (L1/L2) or field service across multiple locations, providing end-user support and managing IT infrastructure in dynamic environments.

Technical Expertise: Windows 10/11 administration, POS management, VPNs; Active Directory, Microsoft 365, JIRA; basic Cisco networking; server administration.

Professional Attributes: Strong client-facing communication, ability to prioritize under deadlines, attention to detail, and physical ability to handle equipment and work at events.

Practical Requirements: NSW driver's license and willingness to travel; experience with NSW venues or temporary event deployments is valued.

  • Knowledge of NSW entertainment and sporting venues
  • Experience with temporary network deployments and mobile IT solutions
  • Understanding of the fast-paced live events environment
  • Cisco certification (CCNA) or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases
  • Experience with patron access control systems or large-scale event tech
  • Current full Australian driver's license
