YOUR ROLE

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer to join IAG's Legal & Company Secretariat (LCS) in Melbourne or Sydney. You will be responsible for managing and providing advice to IAG in relation to significant and complex claims that are escalated to LCS and providing legal services to support the organisation's core insurance business.

This position will require you to deliver high quality legal services, establish deep and effective relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to a highly effective, collegiate and customer focussed in-house legal team.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne.

About You

• Legal practice experience > 3 years PQE.
• Legal practice experience in one or more of the following areas: insurance law; insurance litigation; property, legal and regulatory framework governing general insurance; general insurance product drafting and review; claims management and coverage issues; policy interpretation; complaints handling; and management of legal and regulatory risks relating to insurance operations.
• Well developed legal skills (e.g. written communications, advisory, negotiation, relationship building)
• Developing stakeholder management skills with the ability to proactively provide customer centric solutions
• Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
