About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives and contribute to enterprise-wide improvement. Reporting to the Business Improvement Technology Project Manager, you will work closely with internal teams to gather requirements, support procurement, and contribute to project governance and strategic alignment.

This role suits someone with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for improving systems and services through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Apply business analysis standards to support digital transformation projects.
Facilitate workshops and document business and IT requirements.
Assist in developing functional specifications and business cases.
Support procurement processes including scopes of work and vendor engagement.
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and governance frameworks.

About the Successful Candidate

You are a proactive problem solver with a solid understanding of business analysis methodologies. You enjoy working across teams, translating business needs into actionable insights, and supporting strategic delivery. Your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills help you build strong relationships and drive collaboration across the City.

You will bring:

Strong knowledge of BABOK, BPMN, and UML, with experience in requirements gathering and process mapping.
Proven ability to develop functional specifications, personas, and business cases.
Familiarity with enterprise systems and local government applications, including emerging technologies like AI and automation.
Technical Proficiency (including SQL, Advance Excel, Business Intelligence tools).
Experience contributing to testing plans, change management, and strategic project delivery.
2–4 years' experience in a business analyst role, ideally within ICT or digital projects.
A current National Police Certificate.

What We Offer

This full-time, contract position (ending 31 July 2026) offers a salary of $84,739 - $98,574 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
