About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Handyperson to join our team on Long Island. This role is perfect for a hands-on individual who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the great outdoors. Working in a remote environment, you'll be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the island's facilities, systems, and landscapes—ensuring everything runs smoothly for both guests and team members alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, pest control, and minor plumbing/electrical repairs

• Maintain pools and spas, including chemical balancing and system monitoring

• Oversee gardening, landscaping, irrigation, and seasonal planting

• Operate and maintain machinery such as tractors, forklifts, quad bikes, and trailers

• Manage utilities including water tanks, sewage treatment systems, and fuel storage

• Complete regular checks and reports on equipment and infrastructure

• Ensure safe use and storage of chemicals, fuels, and cleaning agents

• Support the broader operations team in delivering a well-maintained and guest-ready island

About You:

• Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, or similar hands-on roles

• Skilled in operating a variety of machinery (relevant licences required)

• Working knowledge of water and sewage systems, plumbing basics, and safe chemical handling

• Physically fit, proactive, and comfortable working in tropical outdoor conditions

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of working independently

• Willing to live and work on a remote island for extended periods

• First Aid & CPR certification

• Prior experience in remote or island resort settings
