About This Job

Emanuel School has an exciting opportunity for a Hebrew Teacher to join the Primary School, teaching years K-6.

Our teachers are the heart of our Primary School. They provide an engaging, safe and supportive learning environment for our students to thrive. They are passionate about what they do and work together as a team to provide an outstanding educational experience for each and every one of our students.

This is a permanent position at 0.8FTE available from the start of Term 1, 2026. Full time will be considered for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be an accredited teacher with experience teaching Hebrew to K-6 children and Jewish Studies from K-2. They will have pedagogical training or experience in teaching spoken proficiency of the language and familiarity with Torah and the Jewish holidays.

Strong familiarity with current NESA K – 6 modern languages syllabus will be considered favourably. Overseas applicants are welcome, however you must be eligible for accreditation with NESA and have full working rights in Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the creative arts (music, drama, art) and be excited to bring this into the classroom as part of their Hebrew lessons.
