Overview

Expressions of Interest for Senior Mechanical Engineers with detailed design experience in mineral processing projects. Role based with DRA Global, an international engineering, project delivery and operations management group focused on mining, minerals and metals.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will join a highly experienced team supporting critical mineral projects. These roles are offered on a full-time permanent basis with career path opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Design calculations and equipment selection for applications including bulk materials handling systems, slurry and hydraulic systems, mechanical platework, etc.
  • Assist with creation, implementation and maintenance of project procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to improve efficiency, including Scopes of Work, Specifications, Datasheets and Technical Evaluation of Tender Submissions
  • Review vendor documentation and incorporate into project designs with emphasis on constructability, operability and maintainability
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and current industry codes and standards
  • Deliver projects within schedule, budget and quality criteria with a strong focus on safety
  • Identify and manage project and technical risks to ensure successful outcomes
  • Willingness to attend site for short to medium-term construction support, commissioning and/or operational support as required
About You
  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with base metals, rare earth minerals and mineral processing in a design and construct environment
  • Experience in materials handling and plant front end, slurry, water and pumping and pipeline design
  • Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
  • Innovative thinker with ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to meet deadlines
  • A good attitude, team focus and willingness to learn
  • Valid rights to work in Australia - Essential
