About the role

The Team Leader plays an integral role in providing high-quality care to our residents at all times. The Team Leader supports the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care across the home, ensuring the individual needs, wishes, and goals of each resident are met within an environment where they feel supported, valued, and treated with dignity and respect.

Permanent part-time opportunity at Calvary Kelaston, Wendouree VIC.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide social and emotional support to all residents, ensuring care is holistic and person-centered.
  2. Support the coordination of residents' care needs, including medication management, nutrition, hydration, and pressure care management.
  3. Lead and supervise care on your shift, within your designated wing or area.
  4. Perform medication-related tasks in accordance with your scope of qualification, legislation, regulation, and Calvary policies for delegation and supervision.

About you

  • Relevant qualifications: Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with AHPRA Registration to administer medication)
  • High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • Effective listener with strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and to learn new skills as required
  • Current National Police Check
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
  • A desire to join a team committed to caring for others in a mission-based organization
