The Role:

We are seeking expressions of interest for a qualified, experienced, and motivated Handyman for Full-Time FIFO work at one of our Mining Villages in the Goldfields region, WA 6427. This position is FIFO from Perth, on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster, starting ASAP.

Overview:

This role involves routine maintenance and minor repairs across the mining village, supporting the safe, tidy, and functional operation of buildings and areas. The handyman will work collaboratively with site management, utilities, and contractors to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

Role Requirements:

• Experience in remote or FIFO mining villages
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Capability to manage daily tasks and respond to urgent issues
• Proactive attitude with a focus on safety and attention to detail
• WA Driver's Licence (C Class)
• Construction White Card
• Basic Handyman/Maintenance Certificate (if available)
• First Aid & CPR certification
• Forklift Ticket

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, such as fixing door handles, hinges, latches, light fittings, minor leaks, and touch-up painting
• Patch holes, replace tiles, secure fixtures, and perform small surface repairs
• Inspect guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities for damage or safety issues
• Replace light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, taps, and shower heads
• Clear leaves, debris, and rubbish from external areas
• Perform outdoor maintenance like pressure washing, gate adjustments, and fence repairs
• Complete work orders using maintenance systems like MEX
• Escalate complex tasks to qualified tradespeople
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Keep tools and workspace organized and in good condition
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Coordinate access for maintenance tasks
• Work independently, managing daily tasks and urgent issues
• Maintain a proactive approach, with attention to safety and detail
