Purpose:

In this role, you will be part of the financial team managing the financial accounting for a key Leisure Brand in Australia. This requires a disciplined financial control mindset, diligence, proactiveness, strong customer and teamwork skills, effective time management, and adaptability. The role is onsite at our South Bank, QLD HQ.

Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
  • Perform month-end accounting for the Leisure business, including Cash and GL close processes.
  • Manage and record wage calculations, debtors, and creditors.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations across the Leisure business.
  • Monitor and review at-risk items to protect the business.
  • Prepare accurate monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Assist with half-year and year-end statutory audits.
  • Identify and implement workflow process improvements within finance.
  • Support special projects and system/process improvements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and FCL minimum standards.
Education & Qualifications:
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change and pressure
