Identity and Access Security Engineer (AU)

About the Role

DroneShield is seeking an Identity and Access Security Engineer to join our Security team in Sydney, NSW. The team is responsible for protecting our assets and users from sophisticated adversaries using advanced tooling. Your focus will be on implementing strong authentication mechanisms, Privileged Identity Management, and enhancing authentication for our products, including air-gapped hardware.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead strategies in the Identity and Access space.
  2. Implement phishing-resistant MFA and rollout across systems.
  3. Design and implement Just-In-Time access to critical systems.
  4. Create strong identities for users, devices, and products.
  5. Influence authentication strategies for BYOD.
  6. Manage multiple projects and solve cross-product problems.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Computer Science, IT, or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience (e.g., Security Engineer, Identity and Access Engineer, Software Engineer).
  • Hands-on experience with security engineering tools and practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing systems using Go or Python.
  • Knowledge of modern application security, cloud environments, Linux command line, and cryptographic protocols.
  • Understanding of ZeroTrust and Beyond Corp architectures.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Creative thinking to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
