We're looking for a Senior Communications & Engagement Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this exciting role, you'll help shape clear, engaging communications and foster strong connections with our community and stakeholders.
Overview of role :
As Senior Communications & Engagement Officer in our Corporate Communications and Engagement team, you will lead the delivery of strategic communications and engagement initiatives. You'll create clear, timely and engaging content for internal and external audiences, provide expert advice, manage media relations, and support community engagement to help share Coliban Water's story and strengthen stakeholder relationships
Key Responsibilities :
As our Senior Communications & Engagement Officer, you'll be accountable for :
- Leading media relations, including enquiries, media releases, social media, and digital content.
- Delivering proactive communications and engagement plans aligned with Coliban Water's vision.
- Providing leadership and strategic advice to ensure clear, consistent, and customer-focused communications.
- Supporting community education, uphold corporate style guidelines, and analyse feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to incident management and maintain accurate records and materials.
About you :
Substantial working knowledge and experience in communications and / or engagement together.Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications or similar.Knowledge and skills in in the development and delivery of communications and engagement plan and projects, including experience utilising various communications mediums.Editing and copywriting skills.Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.Sound like you? Salary :
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 $93,548 - $112,895 + Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
