Shaw Talent have partnered with one of Australia's leading multi-disciplinary design engineering consultancies in the search for their new Electrical Lead for NSW. This is an executive-level role with a brand-to-market focus. Ideal for a commercially astute, design-driven business leader.

With an enviable client base already in place, you'll inherit a diverse portfolio of complex, high-impact projects across data centres, healthcare, commercial, education, aviation, and mixed-use sectors.

You'll bring presence, technical credibility and commercial focus to drive both internal and external trust, in turn helpingshape the future of smarter, more sustainable buildings.

The Opportunity

As Electrical Director – Building Services, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a strong Sydney-based team of electrical engineers delivering Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects
  • Cultivate performance and technical quality - setting the benchmark.
  • Collaborate across disciplines with mechanical, hydraulic, fire, sustainability, digital, and structural specialists
  • Develop, grow and nurture client partnerships, with a strong emphasis on unlocking new opportunities through your industry reputation and relationships
  • Guide technical direction and project strategy from key bids and pursuits to long-term client frameworks
  • Champion innovation from electrification and digital engineering to energy efficiency and decarbonisation
  • Play a visible leadership role across NSW while contributing nationally to technical forums and strategic planning

Who You Are

  • 12+ years in electrical building services within a consulting environment
  • Known for your technical authority, commercial thinking, and team-first mindset
  • Passionate about smart, sustainable design and the future of integrated building systems
  • A respected leader, able to inspire high-performing teams with autonomy, clarity, and empathy
  • Commercially attuned - capable of identifying opportunities, managing risk, and delivering lasting client value
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent)
