The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a practical and proactiveTrainee Draftsperson to join our growing team based at our head office in Ascot, WA.

We are looking for applicants with a passion to learn and a keen interest in mineral processing who want to work on significant projects across a wide variety of commodities.

You will be part of a team and be mentored by experienced designers and engineers across a range of disciplines and projects.

Some of the key responsibilities you will learn are:

  • Assisting with the preparation of 2D and 3D design deliverables using CAD software.
  • Utilising engineering specifications and standards to performing design tasks.
  • Supporting Designers and Discipline Engineering with design preparation.
  • Effectively communicating with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings where required.

To be eligible:

  • A relevant TAFE qualification, Cert IV or Diploma in Engineering, Design, Drafting or similar.
  • Experience with 3D parametric software and AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong desire to build a career as a draftsperson/designer.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have full working rights at the time of application.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite.
