Dispensary Pharmacist

Overview

Dispensary Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy, Epworth Maternity Hospital. Part-time maternity leave cover for 13 months, working every Friday from 8am to 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products
• Coordinate medication requirements for patients, including discharges and outpatient needs
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, carers, and hospital staff
• Attend to front-of-shop duties and support the day-to-day operations of the dispensary
• Educate customers on medication use, health promotion, and general pharmacy queries
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
• Prepare and package medications in dosage as necessary
• Attend the front shop to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy
• Prepare and package medications as required
• Participate in other dispensary duties as needed

About You

You're a registered pharmacist who enjoys working in a retail pharmacy environment. Whether you're newly registered or bringing prior experience, you're reliable, approachable, and committed to delivering high-quality service. You work well independently and as part of a team.

Eligibility Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with no restrictions on practice.
• Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
• Australian working rights, valid for at least 13-months from time of employment.
• Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and multitask
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcomed but not essential
