St Andrews Christian College is seeking expressions of interest for the position ofHead of Humanitiesto join our dynamic team in Wantirna South. This role falls under the department of Secondary School and is tenured for 3 years as a Position of Responsibility, with an associated ongoing part-time or full-time teaching load. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key duties and tasks:

• Providing leadership and guidance to teaching staff within the designated year levels, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Developing and implementing curriculum plans, in line with College policies and educational standards, to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress, implementing strategies to support individual learning needs and promote academic success.
• Collaborating with colleagues to facilitate professional development opportunities and sharing best practices in teaching methodologies.
• Contributing to the wider College community by participating in relevant meetings, events, and extracurricular activities.
• Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, pastoral care, and behavioural matters.

A proven track record in educational leadership and a thorough understanding of the curriculum requirements for the Humanities discipline are essential.
