Overview

Join Our Team. Do you want to work alongside one of Australia's top-performing coal-fired power stations? Millmerran Power Station processes 11,000 tonnes of coal daily and generates 870MW of electricity, powering over 1 million homes. Ventia provides operational and preventative maintenance services to Millmerran. Ventia's contract was renewed in September 2024, ensuring stable and ongoing work. We're looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join the team and ensure the plant runs smoothly through hands-on maintenance and equipment replacements. This is a full-time opportunity with a flexible 4 days on, 3 days off roster.

Responsibilities

Support continuous plant operation through hands-on maintenance and equipment replacements to keep the Millmerran Power Station running efficiently.

What We Offer
  • Condensed full-time work week into a 4-day roster (6am–5pm, Mon–Thu or Tue–Fri)
  • Base rate plus tools and travel around $119,905
  • Hourly rate: $52.16
  • Opportunity for overtime to boost earnings
  • Exceptional safety records, standards and practices
  • Rural Allowance – Between $34.00 - $92.00 (pending location)
  • Tool Allowance - $23.52 per week
  • Income protection as part of super
  • Long-term contract stability – now in its 11th year
  • Secured gated community with on-site parking
About You
  • Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Fitting or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated industry experience
  • White Card
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or Heavy Diesel background
  • Previous experience in Coal and Ash handling or similar environment (highly desirable)
  • Confined Spaces Training, Working at Heights Training, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket, High Risk Licence
