Health & Wellbeing Advisor (12-month fixed term)

Overview

Sunwater is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health and Wellbeing professional to fill a Health & Wellbeing Advisor role for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity (maternity leave cover).

Based at our Fortitude Valley office, this is an immediate-start fixed-term role with an attractive salary, plus 12.75% superannuation and 17% leave loading.

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, expert support to employees navigating injury and return-to-work pathways.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Sunwater's health & wellbeing culture and organisational practices.
  • Work closely with senior managers and business stakeholders to facilitate achievement of workers' compensation and post-injury management strategies.
  • Manage service provider contracts and delivery/support for outsourced health and injury management services.
  • Manage workers' compensation reporting and governance processes, including analysis of incident and injury data.
  • Manage a system of health assessments and pre-work risk and capability assessments in a cost-effective and robust manner.
Qualifications and skills
  • 5+ years' experience in health and safety or health and wellbeing.
  • Relevant degree (OHS, allied health, nursing).
  • Accreditation in rehab and return-to-work.
  • Experience in mental health case management and knowledge of OHS legislation, WorkCover, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to listen, negotiate, and influence with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset; ability to build partnerships with medical professionals, allied health teams, and contractors.
  • Organised with the ability to design, deliver, and assess health and wellbeing initiatives.
