At UGL, we are seeking interest from E&I Technicians, supported by the Maintenance Team Leader, to join the Fuels & Energy East business based onsite at Curtis Island in Gladstone QLD where we have an established and valued presence.

The E&I Technicians are a key component within our project delivery & maintenance teams who will be responsible for supporting project teams on the APLNG facility.

About the Role

You will bring previous experience from an Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or continuous processing plant. Exposure to working in tanks, confined spaces and piping will be highly regarded:

1. Delivery of E&I scope under the contract
2. Execution of planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance
3. Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment
4. Provide technical advice and support on electrical & instrument to the field project and maintenance teams
5. Troubleshooting, calibrating, repair and service of fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets
6. Identify risks and maintain awareness amongst employees and process conditions in a Major Hazardous Facility
7. Develop and drive continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions
8. Working at heights activities
9. Being flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
10. Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which may involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation

About you

You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create an environment where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

1. Electrical License (QLD)
2. Cert III in Instrumentation
3. Current CPR / LVR
4. EEHA Certification
5. HV Switching Certification
6. Swagelok Certification
7. High Risk Work License – EWP
8. Work at Heights Certification
9. Drivers Licence
