We represent a leading independent Australian law firm.

With a highly respected national banking and finance practice, this firm is consistently recognised for its commercial strength and depth of expertise. It advises major domestic and international banks, non-bank lenders, funds, corporates and government agencies on complex and high-value financing transactions.

The real estate finance team sits within the broader banking and capital markets practice and is widely regarded as one of the strongest in the country. The group regularly advises on sophisticated financing structures across both the domestic and international markets.

Key areas of focus include syndicated lending, development finance, investment facilities, structured debt and cross-border real estate debt transactions. The team is led by a group of senior partners who are highly regarded in the industry and are known for their technical and commercial acumen.

Position Description

This role will see you working closely with partners and clients on a wide variety of real estate finance matters. You will support both traditional lenders and alternative financiers on secured and unsecured transactions involving high-profile commercial developments, acquisitions, and investment portfolios.

You'll enjoy access to top-tier mandates and ongoing support to develop your technical, leadership, and client-facing skills in a close-knit and highly collaborative environment.

Key Requirements

You will be a banking and finance lawyer with 4–6 years' post-admission experience and solid exposure to real estate finance. You will bring:

• Experience across a range of finance transactions, ideally including syndicated and development finance
• Strong technical drafting and advisory skills
• A practical and commercially focused approach to problem-solving
• A confident, responsive and client-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative working style and interest in mentoring junior lawyers
