We are regularly tendering for works in Brisbane & greater QLD and seek expressions of interest from experienced Cost Controllers / Estimators interested in upcoming consulting opportunities.

Our specialization includes providing Project Delivery Resources mainly for Road Infrastructure Projects with State Government Road Authorities, Urban & Regional Councils, and we are on many 'Preferred Supplier Panels'.

Many projects involve Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) following natural disasters and are under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) administered by the QLD Reconstruction Authority (QRA).

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Cost Control processes including accurate collection, recording, and reporting of forecast project costs.
  2. Assist with submissions to funding authorities.
  3. Contribute to cost planning and control, including budget allocation, forecasting, cashflow, variance analysis, and reporting.
  4. Support cost planning and control functions across delivery teams, ensuring integration with planning, scheduling, financial, and commercial functions.
  5. Implement Cost Control systems and procedures across software platforms.
  6. Monitor projects, analyze data, and apply change control using best practices.
  7. Manage relationships with team members, consultants, contractors, and government entities through clear communication to promote effective cost management.
Mandatory Experience
  1. At least 5 years of experience as a 'Cost Controller / Estimator' on industrial or commercial construction projects, or at least 2 years on civil roads infrastructure projects with Australian State Gov't Road Authorities or Australian Councils, preferably in Queensland.
Desirable Experience
  1. Prior experience with DTMR or any Queensland Councils is advantageous.
  2. Experience with Disaster Funding Arrangements is highly desirable (please mention this in your cover letter).
Qualifications
  1. Any relevant qualifications should be noted in your resume and will be considered.

Critical Note: Overseas candidates without the mandatory experience are not eligible.

Must hold a current QLD/Australian driver's license.

The roles are primarily in Brisbane or greater QLD, with hours typically around 40 hours per week, subject to project needs.
