The Role

Prepare and present compelling content for ABC Tropical North, creating stories across multiple platforms that reflect a broad, cross-section of the community.

The ABC is looking for a Reporter, Features to step into a role for 8 months covering parental leave. Gain valuable experience in a stunning location and engage audiences with original storytelling.

The Job

  • Find and tell original stories from across the Tropical North region
  • Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences
  • Create high-quality content that can be shared across the ABC nationally

Position Description :

About You

You will possess strong content creation skills and a proven ability to develop and produce original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for the target audience. You are comfortable working in a small office environment. You will also be able to demonstrate :

  • Excellent interviewing skills
  • A natural curiosity and passion to find and tell stories that reflect Australia's diversity and connect with the community
  • Great writing ability and accomplished editorial skills, including sourcing and analyzing information and exercising sound judgment

You will require a driver's license for this position.
