Overview

Babylon Data is seeking an experienced Test Lead to join a high-profile program within a Federal Government department. The role will lead test strategy, planning, and execution across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes in the delivery of digital services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Dynamics 365 CRM/.NET testing, proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive testing capability uplift across people, process, and tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams and provide oversight of both manual and automated testing activities, including integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Base pay range

A$100.00/hr - A$140.00/hr

Location of work: ACT (Hybrid – remote considered on a case-by-case basis)

Maximum hours per week: 40 hours

Security clearance requirements: Must be able to obtain Baseline

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement test strategies, master test plans, entry/exit quality gates, and risk/defect management processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of testers (manual and automation), providing guidance, training, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Support automated testers to design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as EasyRepro and MSTest (C#).
  • Ensure integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
  • Track and report test progress, defect metrics, and quality KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support release go/no-go decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Minimum 7+ years of Dynamics 365 CRM/.NET testing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to define test strategies and align them with project goals and timelines.
  • Proven experience driving testing capability uplift by assessing maturity, establishing baselines, and implementing improvements.
  • Experience with automation testing and integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with EasyRepro and MSTest (C#).
  • Familiarity with government ICT environments and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to upskill manual testers in automation.
Working Arrangements

This role is based in Canberra, ACT with a hybrid model of onsite and remote work. Remote arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the supervising manager and subject to business needs. Candidates located outside Canberra must clearly indicate their desired work location in their response.
