About the Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will be pivotal in maintaining and driving a strong safety culture across the business. You will oversee WHSE systems, ensure legislative compliance, and work closely with site teams to implement best practices across live construction projects. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Sydney, with regular site visits required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage WHSE functions across multiple construction projects
  • Review and maintain WHSE management systems, procedures, and documentation
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing training to site teams
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all legislative requirements are met
  • Provide proactive support and coaching to project and site teams
  • Continuously drive improvement in WHSE performance and culture
To Be Successful
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar WHSE or HSE Manager role in commercial construction - Tier 2 construction background is preferred
  • Diploma in WHS (or higher qualification)
  • Proven experience implementing and managing WHSE systems and procedures
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence, lead, and promote a proactive safety-first culture
  • Construction white card and current driver's license
