The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing South Australian Mount Gambier team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse civil infrastructure projects and contribute to the team's continued development within Tonkin.

Who You Are:
  • A passionate and proactive team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • A technical problem-solver with demonstrated experience in a range of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Enthusiastic about working in multi-disciplinary teams in a national team format.
Where You Are:
  • The role is located in Mount Gambier; however, the candidate will work on projects throughout Australia, predominately South Australia and Victoria.
What You Bring:
  • Relevant qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated technical background in Civil Engineering related disciplines including experience with relevant Australian Standards and Industry Design Guides.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Efficient multi-tasker with a fundamental understanding of project delivery processes and attention to detail.
What You'll Do:
  • Apply your technical expertise to the design of a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
  • Provide inputs to other engineers and drafters in producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other disciplines to ensure project coordination.
  • Deliver well-documented designs, including drawings, specifications, and reports, meeting Tonkin's and client standards.
  • Join a supportive and collaborative local engineering team integrating with project engineers, drafters, and lead principal engineers.
  • Work with Local Government clients and developers to design and document civil infrastructure projects including stormwater management plans, road designs, and building siteworks plans.
