We're seeking motivated Cleaners to join our Food & Domestic Services team, helping us maintain high standards of hygiene and service across our facilities.

About the Role

As a Hospital Cleaner, you'll play a key role in maintaining hygiene and infection control standards. Your tasks will include:

  • Cleaning patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces to a high standard
  • Proper handling and disposal of waste, including biohazardous materials
  • Supporting infection control by following strict cleaning protocols
  • Assisting with other domestic duties as required to ensure smooth operations

Various shifts are available. You must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings.

Our staff have access to mentoring, education, and development programs. Salary packaging is available. The successful applicant will need to provide a current police check prior to starting. Staff are rotated across rosters, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Understanding of confidentiality and infection control practices
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods

Desirable:

  • Previous cleaning experience, especially in healthcare or aged care
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and waste disposal
  • Familiarity with hospital-grade cleaning protocols
