About The Role

Operating within Service Central, Service Central Officers conduct a national function, focusing on service delivery and resolution of first-level service requests and enquiries across a diverse range of services, including requests relating to: the Centre for Education and Innovation, Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Legal Assurance and Governance, Marketing and External Relations, People and Capability, Properties and Facilities, and Student Administration. In addition to the triage and resolution of first-level service requests, Service Central Officers are also responsible for:

  • Contributing meaningfully to knowledge management by identifying, authoring, and maintaining up-to-date articles;
  • Using a variety of technologies to efficiently triage/resolve service requests via phone, chat, email, and electronic lodgement;
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement, including automation and streamlining of existing processes;
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for telephone enquiries from the general public and University stakeholders.

  • Full-time, fixed-term role for 5 months based at our Melbourne campus with some hybrid flexibility

  • Total remuneration valued to $101,464 - $109,838 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $85,739 - $92,815 (pro rata) pa (HEW 5), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks\' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
