About the RoleThe Project Officer – Respectful Relationships Education is responsible for continuing the implementation of Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (RRE) across Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns schools. This role will ensure the integration of RRE within the framework of the ACARA Version 9 Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum and Personal Capabilities (P-10), while incorporating Catholic perspectives and teachings. The Project Officer will focus on reviewing the implementation of RRE across CEDC schools and supporting school-based staff to deliver the RRE content effectively. This is a 1-year contract position (with the possibility of extension), funded by the Federation Funding Agreement for Consent and Respectful Relationships Education.
The role holder will have- Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers
- A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in a Health and Physical Education Teacher role
- A demonstrated ability to work across a range of educational contexts
- Current drivers licence
- A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Catholic Education
- Promote child safety at all times
