Signshop Technician – Design, Prepress & Print Production

We are currently seeking a Signshop Technician with strong skillset in Design, Prepress & Print Production to join our talented Production Team at Cooltone. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, hands-on role within a well-established and highly regarded company.

Cooltone has been a leader in window film, signage, and graphics for over 40 years. Our signshop team are passionate about delivering creative, high-quality outcomes across digital print, building signage, and custom film applications.

About the Role

This role is suited to an experienced and enthusiastic all-rounder who can work across artwork setup, print production, and general signage tasks. You'll be involved from concept to print-ready art, liaising with sales, managing file prep and colour control, and supporting the team with daily production.

Hours :

  • 7 : 30am – 4 : 00pm Monday to Thursday
  • 7 : 30am – 2 : 00pm Fridays
  • Some overtime required from time to time - Project dependant

Key Responsibilities :

Create, edit, and finalise artwork for print jobsLiaise with sales and internal teams for artwork approvalsPrepare proofs and manage the prepress processLocate and set up existing jobs for reprintOperate wide format printers and RIP software (Caldera experience is a bonus)Assist with print finishing, laminating, trimming and general sign shop productionMaintain a professional attitude within our long-term team

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have :

Previous experience in prepress or print productionProficiency in Adobe Illustrator (essential) and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience operating wide-format digital printers (UV & Solvent preferred)Experience operating C02 Laser - New to CooltoneA strong eye for colour, layout, and detailGood communication and organisational skillsA positive, self-motivated and team-focused approach
