We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially-savvy Senior Merchandise Plannerto lead and support our category teams in optimising stock management, improving margin, and driving trade performance. You'll work across weekly, monthly, and quarterly planning cycles to ensure inventory and promotional strategies align with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly Trading Analysis : Deliver core trade performance review across business: top 100 reports, monitor sell-through, and review order health with category managers. Identify and act on sales variances.
  • Promotions : Build promo reports, confirm margin rollups, and highlight risks or upside.
  • Inventory Management : Oversee Just-in-Time (JIT), OEM, Indent, and aged stock. Run weekly/monthly JIT and OEM analysis and recommend actions.
  • Category Planning : Partner weekly and monthly with Merchandise Manager to identify opportunities, shortfalls, and product lifecycle strategies across categories and sub-categories. Identify opportunities across category, brand and sub categories for growth opportunities for the business
  • Reporting & Insights : Own core planning reports including margin, stock type, Product Pricing and Clearance. Deliver insights and drive data-led decisions.
  • Meetings & Alignment : Run and lead planning meetings to align on KPIs including margin performance, inventory mix, and clearance strategy.
  • Strategic Reviews : Lead Quarterly PSR (Post-Season Reviews) to drive forward-looking strategy.
  • Data Integrity : Oversee product data accuracy and integrity, supporting team members managing new line creation and changes.
  • PIM Project Leadership : Act as the business lead for PIM (Product Information Management) implementation from a merchandise planning perspective, working closely with the category and data teams on this project

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in merchandise or inventory planning, ideally in a retail or omnichannel environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel or planning system proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with buyers, category managers, and data teams
  • Experience managing stock across multiple sourcing models (OEM, JIT, Indent)
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in margin management
  • Comfortable leading meetings and presenting insights
  • Experience with planning systems and PIM tools is advantageous
