SALARY: Excellent salary on offer - $130k - $140k + Super + Bonus.

With double digit revenue and EBITDA growth, this organisation has doubled in size over the last 2 years and has experienced consistent year on year organic and acquisitive growth and has a strategic vision to continue this growth in the coming years. Within the next 2 years, they have plans to double in size. Due to this strategy a new role has been created for a Senior Commercial Analyst.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to a highly influential CFO and partnering closely with the executive leadership team, this Senior Commercial Analyst will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its strong growth journey. The Senior Commercial Analyst will act as a true partner and 2IC to the CFO and Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic support, change management, transformation and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for leading and driving new improvements across reporting, FP&A and best in class processes.

As the Senior Commercial Analyst, you will take full ownership for the strategic delivery of business results. The Senior Commercial Analyst has primary day-to-day responsibility for supporting business strategies to add value beyond finance across a broad range of stakeholders and providing leadership to the finance team. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner to deliver key results and improvements. This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Business and Financial Strategy Support - Act as a true partner to the CFO and Leadership Team to support business strategy and financial direction;
• Financial Planning & Analysis – manage and oversee the commercial planning and reporting function including budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process for the group ensuring strategic alignment to business objectives as well as partnering with cross functional leaders across the organisation;
• Business Performance Analysis - Provide insights and build business acumen through analysis of data to support commercial decision making;
• Commercial Management - pro-actively driving risk & opportunity analysis, mix analysis, contract negotiation, trading terms, financial modelling and business cases;
• Growth, M&A and Deal Support - Provide advice and support across M&A, due diligence, business integrations and financial negotiations;
• Business Systems & Process Improvement - Spearhead improvements and best practise across finance transformation including new reporting, analytics, systems and processes;
• Stakeholder Relationship Management and Business Partnering Support – establish collaborative cross functional relationships with sales, marketing and operations to meet business needs as well as coaching and contributing to business strategy.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are CA/CPA qualified with a strong passion for business and transformation. You have ideally gained experience across large corporate blue-chip businesses and are now looking to fast track your career towards a true strategic and commercial focused position within a high growth private equity backed entity. You have demonstrated achievements and track record in driving best practise across FP&A, reporting and systems. Overall, you have a vision to fast track your career towards a true leadership role within the next few years by proving yourself in a broad finance role in a fast-growing high performing organisation. You will bring to the role strong commercial acumen, vision for growth, and a passion for best in class processes. You will have a track record of adding value through an absolute understanding of key business drivers; the capacity to drive change; and the ability to influence performance. This is a mid-sized high growth, very acquisitive business therefore, you must display the hunger, energy and drive that you are willing to be hands-on, not afraid of a challenge whilst having the gravitas to communicate and influence an impressive Leadership team. The Senior Commercial Analyst needs to have immediate credibility and be able to earn the trust and confidence of the CFO, CEO, the broader finance team and the executive leadership team. You will demonstrate proven commercial acumen and strategic thinking supported by a high level of competency in finance management. You will have significant experience in working with, advising and/or supporting senior leaders.

In addition, you will have:

• Strong accounting foundations.
• Commercial finance acumen with a proven track record of actively driving commercial agendas across the business.
• Experience implementing, delivering and managing new systems and reporting tools such as PowerBI.
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
• Pro-active and customer focused mind set.
• The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
• Key eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Superior stakeholder management, including advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
