Full time: 38 hours/week

Perth Animal Eye Hospital is seeking a self-motivated veterinary nurse to join our energetic, dynamic team. We pride ourselves on our on-the-job training and ongoing learning support.

This full-time position is based in a busy ophthalmology referral hospital (the only one in WA) in the Southern Suburbs, consisting of 2 specialists, 2 residents, 1 registrar, and 6 nurses. Our purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and anaesthesia equipment. We believe in providing our nurses with opportunities for growth and utilizing their full potential.

The working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm, with an on-call roster of one weekend every 6 weeks. The on-call duties are for emergencies only, as we do not operate routine appointments during weekends. This role covers surgical nursing, anaesthesia, customer service, patient care, and ophthalmology.

Ideal Candidate
  • Certificate IV in vet nursing or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience (considering other suitable applicants)
  • VSB registered
  • Great work ethic
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with team members
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player attitude with a positive, 'can do' approach
