About the role

Are you ready to join our high-performing Economist Practice team — a specialist group within International, Support and Programs? Our team plays a pivotal role in shaping Australia's approach to complex international tax matters, with a strong focus on transfer pricing, base erosion and profit shifting. We contribute to the development of international tax strategies that support taxpayers in complying with their transfer pricing obligations.

  • Contribute to independent economic advice on cross-border transactions
  • Collaborate within a vibrant, fast-paced team and build effective working relationships with business partners
  • Research, present economic findings, and support resolution of high-impact tax challenges
  • Provide timely recommendations on transfer pricing issues

Skills and experience

  • Experience in transfer pricing and knowledge of Australia's relevant legislative frameworks
  • Skills in conducting economic research and analysis
  • Flexible and adaptive to navigate challenges and contribute to broader agency objectives
  • Effective time management skills to balance competing commitments and prioritise work appropriately
  • Attractive superannuation contributions of 15.4%

These roles will be offered in Adelaide (not APS 4), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Perth or Sydney CBD.

You must be an Australian citizen to work with the ATO.
