To help achieve this mission, Toast is expanding into new countries and markets, and we are currently seeking an Account Executive to serve as a founding member of our Australian team.
As a founding Account Executive, this is an opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. You will be an early member of our team transforming how restaurants operate locally. Using a consultative approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new restaurateurs in your area.
By understanding their needs, you will develop customised solutions to help Australian businesses thrive. We need your passion and sales expertise to help us build the Toast brand in your geographic territory.
Your work will have an immediate and lasting impact, requiring operational sales expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset.
As a key part of this region, you will collaborate with the RVP and stakeholders to lay the foundation for sustainable success in Sydney.
This role offers autonomy, the chance to navigate ambiguity, and to create frameworks, processes, and initiatives that will shape regional growth.
This is a field sales role. Candidates must live locally to Brisbane or be willing to relocate.
About this role- Generate a list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close (experience with self-sourcing clients is a plus).
- Conduct demos and develop solutions tailored to prospect needs.
- Partner with teams across the business to meet expectations during delivery.
- Leverage Salesforce to manage all sales activities.
- Understand the competitive landscape and position Toast effectively in the market.
- 2+ years experience in sourcing or closing sales, restaurant operations, or a related field.
- Founder mentality to work on 0-1 deals and thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
- Reliable transportation (reimbursements for mileage provided).
- Strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding goals.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment.
- Self-motivated, creative, and flexible.
- Technical proficiency with software.
